Election Rules:
 
Based on the bylaw of AES, Taiwan Section apply for on-line voting along with on-site voting and report to Mr. Anthony Schultz (Chair, Regions & Sections Vice President Eastern Region of US/Canada, Audio Engineering Society (AES)). This has been approved by Mr. Schultz.
The election starts from Oct-31, 2017 by the notice of emails to all members. And the election lasts thru Dec-18, 2017. Please carry your valid ID.
Valid votes are these members who holds their membership till December 18, 2017.
Total votes need to be over 2/4 of all valid voting member counts. Student members can come to the annual meeting but can not vote of this election. Assuming valid membership counts are 46, then ⅔ of 46 is 30.67. So 31 votes is the requirement of a valid election.
To check the valid memberships, the nomination Committee will check AES on-line membership database on 23:59, December 18, 2017.
There are 4 officers that need to be elected. 
According to our AES bylaw, an on-site nomination is provided during the annual meeting.
Each member has one vote. If members voted on-line, then this member is not allowed to vote on-site during the annual meeting.
More votes win the election if there is more than two candidates. 
On-line votes will require members to fill-in their member ID number, their name in the AES membership database, and their email address that is used to log-in AES website.

The result of this election will be announced on-line on December 18, 2017.
 Suggestions of all topics can be proposed in the annual meeting. 
           
 
選舉辦法：
依據AES組織章程，台灣分會得使用通訊投票與現場投票並行，此已報備並經Mr. Anthony Schultz 核准 (Chair, Regions & Sections Vice President Eastern Region of US/Canada, Audio Engineering Society (AES))
本email發布日起到2017年12月18日為止，為通訊投票期間，11月18日是現場投票日，需攜帶有效證件。
台灣時間2017年12月18日仍為有效會員者，得計入有效票。
票數必須超過會員數三分之二，以2017年10月31日為止進行計算，會員數為55位，其中Professional 19位、Associate 27 位、與Student 8位，按章程規定，學生會員只能在學生分會投票，無法在本次台灣年會投票，因此具有投票權的會員總數為46位，46的三分之二為30.67，因此31票即為超過三分之二的門檻。
本選舉的會籍確認日為2017年12月18日，台灣時間，我們將在台灣這一天夜間11：59分向AES會籍資料庫查詢台灣分會會員的會籍，選票所需的會籍確認，以這一份為基準。
每張票要圈選四個職務，只要交回，都是有效票。
按組織章程，現場開放臨時提名
每人一票，若在11月18日之前已經進行通訊投票的會員，則11月18日就不能在現場投票，現場有投票的會員，在12月18日之前也不能再度通訊投票，每一位會員將只記入一次票數，不能重複。
按組織章程，投票結果為多數決，因此有一人以上參與的競選，票數較多的當選，若只有一人參加選舉，則無論票數多少，都算當選。

On October 17, 2017, We email to our members for an annual meeting on November 18.

An On-Line voting has been approved by Mr. Anthony Schultz (Chair, Regions & Sections Vice President Eastern Region of US/Canada, Audio Engineering Society (AES)). This is to help our members who can not join us on November 18.

我們將在今年11月18日舉辦第一次的年會，這是台灣的喜事，我們終於成立分會，誠摯地邀請您的蒞臨，並參與第一屆主席團的選舉，請回信報名，報名是為了準備餐點進行統計，無論是否報名，當天都可以參與，也都可以進行通訊投票，或是在現場投票。


為了能與台灣大眾對話，並能承接總會所撥予的分會預算，我們正在討論成立在台灣立案的AES台灣分會協會，將可能需要動用願意支持設立的會員的身分證影本，當天會討論。

Past Event: AES Taiwan Member Gathering

 AES Taiwan Section was accepted by the board of AES on May. We will held a gathering at MCU (music Creaters Union) in Song Shang creative park on Saturday, 12, August 2pm. We invite all members to join. 

AES has been our source to pursuit and explore the beauty of sound. We as sound professionals have always been supported by AES's spirit as well. We used to travel and fly to AES annual event to meet each other. Now we have Taiwan Section and we can meet and share our experience much easily. 
We spent two months for processing the establishment of a Taiwan Section. A meeting was hold in March 30 to discuss the bylaw and all necessary knowledge to establish Raiwan section. We delivered the necessary documents on March 28. The Taiwan Section was accepted by the board of AES on May 30. Thanks to  all of you for your contribution to AES for the past years. Without you, this is not possible. 
We would like to invite members in Taiwan to join this gathering on August 12. Members from research, public addressing, music productions, speaker design, university, and many audio talents can exchange our e perience and share our thoughts toward sound and AES.
