Summary
An overview was given about noise measurement, weighting issues and their history and differences in approach of measurement depending on application. Explanation was given about pros and cons of standardisation and there relation with legislation.
A system for managing sound radiation of multi stage open air events to the environment was presented. With the system it is possible to perform a fine tuning of the levels of multi stage events, granting levels were needed and having moderate levels were possible. Monitoring of the levels in the environment, at several large distance locations, are made real-time and can be seen one display, offering source identification.
