Meeting Topic: Joint Meeting AES/VDT and Christmas party at Sound Lab HAW Hamburg

On the 6th of December the AES Student Section Hamburg together with the Professional Section had a joint meeting with the VDT Hamburg Regional Group. After years without a Christmas party at the Sound Lab, this was a first meeting for many new faces.
The meeting took place just before the Christmas party of the Sound Lab. The group sat together at a round table, with 10 attendees. After a brief introduction, different topics, ranging from current events (like the Spatial Audio Listening Session) to technical questions between the members were discussed.
Later in the evening, everyone was invited to the Christmas party of the Sound Lab, under the motto: "Punch! Music! 3D audio!" - and this motto was held. Between the cookies, homemade waffles, punch was found, music was made by Professor Thomas Görne's own jazz trio, and 3D audio music was played back over the 33.2 Audio Dome of the Immersive Audio Lab. Later in the evening, the stage was open to everybody, to jam together.
