Summary: We started the meeting by answering our icebreaker question, "What shows have you been to recently/what song/artist have you had on repeat?" We talked about what AES is and what we do, as well as how to join and what the student rates are to join. Multiple different events are coming up, including a visit from Dr. Micheal Harrington regarding generative AI, a demonstration from Milab Microphones, and a visit from Fiona Ham from MusicTeam this week, which is a joint event with Women of Audio. We talked about our mentorship team and the study groups they're hosting soon, as well as the subgroups that currently exist on campus. The only active subgroup is Music & Songwriting hosted by Zaya Heap, which meets every week 1 and week 2 at 6:30 PM in Gilbert room 103. We ended the meeting by discussing our free plugin of the week, which is called Soviet Pif Synth.
FREE PLUGIN: Soviet Pif Synth
Created with Soviet-era children's synthesizer
Works with the free Decent Sampler player plugin
Controls include attack, decay, sustain, tone, etc.
