On Wednesday, December 18, at 6:00 PM, an institutional visit was held at the Acoustics and Electroacoustics Laboratory (LACEAC) of the Department of Electronics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires (FIUBA). The meeting took place at the main campus located at Paseo Colón 850.
Representing AES Argentina were Gustavo González (chairman), Christian Paladino (vicechairman), and collaborator Indio Gauvron. From LACEAC, Daniel Sinnewald and Lucas Rubinstein participated in the meeting.
One of the primary topics discussed was the institutional reality of the Faculty. This segment addressed the current challenges faced by the engineering programs and the specific needs of the student body. The analysis provided an opportunity to reflect on potential strategies to benefit the academic community.
Another central topic was the planning of the First AES-FIUBA Conference, proposed for the second half of 2025. Its main objective is to connect the professional audio world with the Faculty's electronic engineering programs. The proposed agenda includes topics such as RF and professional audio, engineering applied to electrical circuits, and the dissemination of research and development projects led by LACEAC.
The visit concluded with a tour of the laboratory facilities. The hosts guided the AES Argentina team through classrooms, halls, and ongoing projects. This experience allowed the AES Argentina team to gain a deeper understanding of the dedication and effort of the LACEAC team, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.
