From Monday, September 30 thru Saturday, October 5 at the "Astor Piazzolla" Conservatory took place the 8th edition of the annual Music Production Week, where the students and teachers joins to present a variety of conferences and workshops by professionals and advanced students working in the most diverse fields relating to audio and musical production, ending Saturday, October 5, with an exposition of Argentinian instruments and audio equipment designers, developers and manufacturers in which also participated: Equaphon, UNQ, BUCCI CLÁSICOS, UMI, AAL, Argentina GuitarCon, JS, Quagliardi Pro Audio, Black Audio, GS Music, Mundo Caoba, Morone Guitars, Dones Amplis Valvulares, Lihuel Cases, PANDEIRAR, Matias Taborda, Cuerdas Tennen, Delgado Luthier / MPA, Soto Bass, Herle Instrumentos, JC Percusión and other well renowned Luthiers and musical instruments makers.
The Astor Piazzolla's Musical Production Week has become a staple in the community connecting artists, producers, engineers, luthiers, audio equipment manufacturers and investigators throughout the country and spreading new knowledge and developments.
AES Argentina was present, as usual, with an Institutional Stand, supporting entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and students. Representing our association were vice chairman Christian Paladino, Secretary Ezequiel Kosiner Blanco, and student members Federico Gironelli, Brian Aras, and Francisco Parodi.
From our stand, we worked actively to promote the goals and objectives of AES, emphasizing the growth of our scientific community and the importance of keeping memberships up to date.
We also opened a space to promote textbooks by Argentine authors, thanks to a collaboration with the Argentine Association of Acousticians (AdAA).
As usual our participation at the Musical Production Week is connecting the Conservatory with professionals who can participate with lectures and dissertations as our own Santiago Capisto (AES) and audio equipment developers and manufacturers to showcase their products at the closing expo, and have our own space to show the community what AES is all about, this year's topic was student sections and the Student Recording Competition, in which the Awarded, Francisco Parodi AES-UNTREF (Cat. 2, LAC 2024) and Brian Aras AES-TAMABA (Cat. 1 LAC 2022), exposed their experiences to the "Astor Piazzolla" Conservatory Students and general community.
