For the sixth time, the AES-TAMABA Student Section had the honor of participating in the once-called Latin American Audio Conference, now known as the Convention. This year, the event took place in the beautiful city of La Paz, Bolivia, serving as a meeting point for professionals and students from across the region.
Our students, Brian Aras, Mario Bartolomé Serra, and Nicolás Saavedra, represented the section in the Student Recording Competition, presenting their work in the categories of "Acoustic Recording," "Traditional Recording," and "Remix." Although we didn't win any medals this time, we remain the only Argentine Student Section with 8 medals in total, and we are confident that our ongoing efforts will lead to new victories.
Our Faculty Advisor, Gustavo González, played a prominent role by opening the second day with a talk on "audio education" and serving as a judge in the categories of "Sound Design for Audiovisual Media" and "Acoustic Recording."
