The PNW Section capped its meeting-year with an evening with musician-producer-composer Adam Dorn, as interviewed by PNW Committeeperson Jim Rondinelli. Dorn gave wide ranging insights about working as a musician-producer-composer, as well as stories about his father, Joel Dorn, plus working with the likes of Marcus Miller, Hall Willner, and John Williams. About 24 AES members and 6 others attended on Zoom.
Philadelphia native Adam Dorn, the son of producer Joel Dorn (notably at Atlantic Records), studied at Berklee College of Music. He is also known as Mocean Worker (MoWo), as a DJ of drum 'n' bass music, and his style evolved to include Electro-Swing, funk, big-band, and swing elements. Dorn has had his music used extensively in TV, advertising, and film, and frequently works with Marcus Miller and Charlie Hunter.

Adam and Jim chatted at length about Adam growing up as a musician, working with Marcus Miller, and the late Hal Willner. He played an animation video with his music, Shake ya Boogie ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6sd8tcbAVM&t=4s ).
Adam spoke about many topics, including the changes in the music industry, his career path, musicianship, and his minimal gear needs. Stories were told about many artists.
A great look at the inside of the music business, and our thanks to Adam and Jim.
