Spirit Week!
We began our meeting by discussing the benefit of becoming an AES member. We moved into talking about upcoming events and the rest of the week, which is SPIRIT WEEK! We are doing band shirt day, twin day, crazy sock day, sports day and CRAS shirt day. We also have our Just Dance night next week on the 24th, and Sennheiser and Neumann coming out on the 25th.
We took some time to highlight our subgroups, and how to start a new one. Our jammers subgroup is currently being revived by Kevin, Ava and Yoyo. They invite all students to join if they can play an instrument or just want to jam! Our music creation and songwriting subgroup and sound design are hopefully being brought back, but are currently on hiatus. CRAS Connected, our radio show, will be coming back next cycle hopefully! Thanks Ricardo!
We continued to talk about our mentor group and WOA club. Our mentor team is always available if students need help, or just need a friend! We also talked about WOA, Women of Audio, and an upcoming event on Saturday that deals with immersive audio recording and a choir. We talked about our open board positions, since our board members are all nearing the end of the program.
Our free plugin of the week is Baby Audio's Beat Slammer, which has been recommended for drum tracks to add color to the audio. We wrapped up with some networking!
