Recently, students Brian Aras and Nahuel Montero completed recordings for a project at the Centro Asturiano de Buenos Aires (located at Solis 470, Buenos Aires City), with the aim of submitting several songs to the International Student Recording Competition, to be held as part of the AES European Convention in Madrid, Spain, from June 15th to 17th.
In the past few days, we have reviewed the work done by the students and have observed that the material generated allows them to enter Categories 1 and 3, "Acoustic Recording" and "Modern Recording", respectively.
This 2024 Competition marks the first time that the AES TAMABA Section has submitted entries to an international competition. Previously, it participated in regional competitions continuously from 2018 to 2023, becoming the Student Section in Argentina with the highest number of medals obtained. In total, it accumulated 8 medals: 2 Gold, 5 Silver, and 1 Bronze in the editions of AES LAC Uruguay 2018, Rio de Janeiro 2020, Medellin 2021, and Buenos Aires 2022.
Additionally, as an interesting fact, for these recordings, the Argentine company GUERRILLA AUDIO STORE provided some microphone kits. We greatly appreciate GAS for their support!
