On Monday, May 6th, starting at 6:30 PM, the AES-TAMABA Student Section had the honor of hosting engineer Fernando Vera to provide us with a MasterClass on Acoustic Design for Home Studios.
This activity was conducted in a hybrid format, with a live, in-person session held in the main classroom of the "Viajantes" Campus of TAMABA Tertiary Institute, while also being livestreamed on the institution's official YouTube channel.
With the notable presence of the Section's Vice President, Federico Gironelli, vocal Fernando Castillo, and Faculty Advisor Gustavo González, Fernando Vera delivered a two-hour lecture to the 30 attendees (both in-person and virtual) on the theoretical concepts of room acoustics, the challenges and solutions encountered in his professional career, and how he implemented these solutions in practice. To do so, he described his working method and its practical application, showcasing two specific examples with his own designs.
