Our elections for Fall 2024 Officers.
Hello, from Webster AES!
April has been a jubilant month for us! We started our month with a meeting on Odd Drum Micing Techniques. We experimented with unorthodox techniques to elevate the sound of your drums. On April 19th, we had our last Concert Series of the semester, showcasing artists such as Cam Burns, Goo Man, and H7. On April 28th, we had a 12-hour Recording Session in Webster University's Audio Suite. Our fellow officers and student members had the chance to perform some covers ("Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys, "Waiting Room" by Fugazi, and "High and Dry" by Radiohead). It was a really fun experience to learn about everything in a studio session: from micing up drums, to overdubs, to messing around with outboard equipment. The last couple of weeks were focused on nominating and electing new officer positions for the next semester. Those who were elected will take charge on running general meetings, planning our Central Region Audio Student Summit, and creating another successful year in the AES Webster Student Section.
