Carl Nappa, AES member and President of the Recording Academy's Memphis Chapter, generously volunteered his impressive space for our regular meeting January 8th, and those who braved the bad weather and made the trip to St. Louis' "The Hill" had no regrets.
We reviewed a successful 2023, discussed the search for new meeting venues, brainstormed and previewed upcoming AES events worldwide including the Webster University Student Section's "Central Region Audio Student Summit," learned about committee activities, and simply caught up with each other after a busy holiday season. After the business meeting Carl discussed his studio's story and workflow. He was a gracious host and generously shared his experience with student and pro members alike.
