From Monday, November 27th to Thursday, November 29th, the sixth edition of the AES-TAMABA Scientific Outreach Conference took place with great success.
This event, held in a hybrid format, combined in-person activities with live broadcasts on the YouTube channel www.youtube.com/tamabavideo.
The diverse itinerary provided an enriching space for all participants, featuring masterclasses, workshops, project presentations, and technical certifications. We highlight the variety of topics covered, enhancing the experience for over 100 attendees.
On Monday, November 27th, the conference began with the official presentation of AES-TAMABA, led by student Federico Gironelli and accompanied by Professor Indio Gauvron. Following this, TAMABA Tertiary Institute students presented their "Creativity and Innovation" projects.
The afternoon continued with the fascinating masterclass "Uses and Applications of Microphones" by Marcelo Depetro and Patricio Baumann from the national company Guerrilla Audio Store. The day concluded with an interesting workshop on "ITB Music Production with Freeware" offered by Ezequiel Morfi from Studios Titanio.
On Tuesday, November 28th, the focus shifted to a talk on preparing for the AES LAC 2024 Recording Competition, presented by our Faculty Advisor Gustavo Gonzalez, followed by more creative and innovative projects.
The day included a masterclass on "Iconic Audio Processors" by Pablo Bucci from Bucci Clásicos, as well as a noteworthy presentation by Nestor Stazzoni on the Behringer Wing audio console, accompanied by a showcase of Focusrite and Turbosound products.
Wednesday, November 29th, concluded with the outstanding masterclass "Fearless of Failure and Feedback" by Santiago Zoberman. The afternoon continued with an inspiring masterclass on "The DJ as Dance Floor Director" given by DJ and producer Minau. There was a dedicated space for more students from the "Creativity and Innovation" course who presented their projects, and the event concluded with certification by Claudio Messina and Pablo Siboldi from TM-Pro Shure.
With over 100 attendees in total, the VI AES-TAMABA Conference solidifies itself as a vital space for scientific and technological outreach in Argentina. We are thrilled with the results achieved and are already working on planning the next edition. Thank you all for being part of this success!
