Thanks to CJ Muggs for some great memories! Unfortunately, our meetings' home since 2008 has closed for good and it's time to look for a new venue. Until we do, Carl Nappa generously offered to book a room at Webster University for this month's meeting, so we'll start there. Sverdrup 112. No food or drink there, though... all about audio!
The St. Louis section of the Audio Engineering Society's next regular meeting will be on Monday Sept 18th at 7pm. We'll be in Severdrup Hall Room 112. Student AES members are encouraged to attend.
After the brief business portion of the meeting and discussing ideas for a new meeting place, Vice-Chair Josh Harris will moderate the always popular audio discussion topics, and there will definitely be a lively discussion:
With the current overload of listening options and streaming platforms, how are you listening to music these days? And what are the reasons behind that decision?
This should be an interesting, enjoyable, and educational conversation as always.
We'll also talk about the great "happy hour" get-togethers organized by JD Trefney; their success has indicated they will become a regular thing traveling through many venues... Be on the lookout for an email blast from JD via MailChimp for monthly details!
So... Please mark your calendar and join us next week; Monday evening September 18, 7pm CT at Webster University Sverdrup room 112.
