Seiichiro Namba (Emeritus Professor of Osaka University) made seminar about Loudness of Level-fluctuating sounds ~ Relation with physical values of sound.
We already have standard committee for loudness control that organized by broadcasters here in Japan recently. Keep it in mind, Seiichiro Namba explained basic issues on the scientific point of view about 'What's Loudness?', 'What's LAeq, T : equivalent continious A-weighted sound pressure level?','What's Loudness of Level-fluctuating sounds?'. Also explained about The difference between short-term loudness and long-term loudness, and The relation between physical values of sound and hearing, based on actual verification data.
It was a very straight forward lecture and instructive for all participants.
We made this seminar at Osaka, many non-member attend it, all of participants feel satisfied and had a great time.
