On December 14, 2022, the first AES meeting was held at LTU to officially start the AES LTU chapter. During this meeting, eleven members were in attendance including members of the Executive Office. The meeting primarily addressed any updates since our first annual informal Audio Club meeting, as well as our objectives with initlaizing the LTU AES Student Section. The discussion included the following topics:
Overview of LTU Alumni Meeting that was recently held at Plymouth Rock Recording Company.
The renovation of the Phonolab (on-campus studio).
Progress updates on becoming an official AES Student Section.
Progress updates of LTU Audio Club recognized as an official student organization by LTU Student Government.
Shared contacts of potential donors within the Executive Office.
Discussed future audio-related field trips.
The main purpose of this meeting was to update all our members on the status of our Section going into Winter Break. We are very excited to begin this AES chapter here at LTU,. and are very thankful for all the assistance we have had up until this point!
