As the Atlanta Public School system celebrates its 150th anniversary, The AES Atlanta Section was invited to be a part of an event hosted by both the Music Education Group and Daniela Rivera (drivmusic), who is a mixer and also a Governor for the Recording Academy. The event brought students from all over the district to hear panel discussions and to participate in breakout sessions designed to build excitement about exploring music tech, including careers, Beat Lab and Introduction to Audio Technology. The Atlanta section was given table space, where we passed out brochures and shirts, and talked to students and faculty about the organization and events.
