Meeting Topic: St. Louis AES Meeting in person at Webster University Studios March 13, 2023
Moderator Name: Bill Schulenburg
Speaker Name: Carl Nappa, Webster University
Meeting Location: Webster University Sverdrup Hall, 8300 Big Bend Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63119
After the very brief business portion of the meeting, Webster Audio Aesthetics and Technology Department Chair Carl Nappa along with AES student members and other faculty conducted tours, answered questions, and sparked creative conversations. AES St. Louis members got a valuable orientation in the new layout just in time to receive the fullest benefit from the Webster University Student AES Section's annual event, the AES Central Region Audio Student Summit (AKA CRASS) March 31-April 2. CRASS will boast professionals from around the country sharing enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience, and now we all will be right at home navigating the breathtaking new facilities which include 3 new control rooms: Studio A (API room), B (Dolby Atmos Room), and C (SSL room). There are also 3 recording/ISO spaces and 2 new TET (Ear Training) labs.
