Meeting Location: Zoom
On this day, a meeting was held with fellow Faculty Advisors and Executive Committee members from across all Argentinian Student Sections. 6 talking points were scheduled for this meeting:
1) Announcing the new AES Argentina Executive Committee members.
2) AES.org reports.
3) AES-LAC (Latin American Conference).
4) "II Jornada Interseccional" (a second event hosted between all Argentinian Student Sections following the first one back in 2021).
5) Student projects.
6) Links between AES Argentina and the Argentinian Student Sections.
And, in regards to these points, the following was discussed:
1) The new AES Argentina Executive Committee consists of S. Gustavo González as Chair, Christian Paladino as Vice Chair, Ezequiel Kosiner Blanco as Secretary and Juan "Cana" San Martín as Treasurer. Christian Paladino (the only new Executive Committee member we did not already personally know) had the courtesy of making a brief apparition to present himself to those of us who did not yet know him.
2) It was stressed that AES.org official reports had to be submitted in a more prolific way by all our Sections so as to let the rest of AES know what we are up to. This task is to be taken more seriously by all of our Sections and we as AES-EMC are proud to say that we are already doing our part!
3) Plans for participation in AES-LAC (Latin American Conference), as well as its "CONTEO" (the student organized event preceding and giving way to the LAC), scheduled for August and September respectively (as already explained in previous reports), were discussed. More on this in future reports.
4) Plans were also discussed regarding the organization of "II Jornada Interseccional", as well as how each Student Section, considering their respective areas of study, could participate (and even opportunities for colaboration between two or more Student Sections). More on this in future reports too.
5) We also talked about our respective plans for 2023. There is already a report on this, dated 2023-2-6, explaining ours as AES-EMC: https://www.aes.org/sections/reports/?ID=3871.
6) Finally, ways of improving communications between AES Argentina and the Argentinian Student Sections were discussed. Ways of helping each other and opportunities for colaboration for this year were also discussed.
Overall, it can be said this was a productive and useful meeting and we as AES-EMC look forward to the next one. Until then, we will be working on all that was discussed.
