Welcome to 2023! After a much needed winter break, the AES student section at Webster University is looking forward to bright new opportunities and the Central Region Audio Student Summit (CRASS) March 31st-2nd. We have also been super excited about the new studio space that was completed only a few weeks ago! A big thank you to everyone involved in getting everything online this past fall.
As for our weekly meetings, AES has welcomed back students with pizza, talking about current events in the industry, and doing some networking within Webster. Stay tuned because we have a bunch planned for the rest of the spring semester as well. In February, we will have the return of the Concert Series this Friday the 3rd. We're also introducing AES Movie Night! We will be screening Speed Racer (2008) Friday, February the 17th. As for meetings, next month we will be looking at our new Atmos studio space and how it works, a collaborative Foley meeting, and much more!
Needless to say, things are starting to get busy again as we look towards the coming Summit, sharing ideas and experiences with peers, and exploring all the possibilities with the finished studio suite.
