Damon Moon, Owner of Standard Electric Recorders Atlanta Section, March 18th, 2021
AES Atlanta visited Standard Electric Recorders for a tour, and then we invited the owner, Damon Moon, to come and speak to AES via Zoom. We learned about his studio, his approach to recording, and his unique "drumbrella" resonance dampener. Then we got a video tour of the studio! We were also treated to a special performance by one of Damon's emerging dream pop clients, Bathe Alone (www.bathealone.com). He explained how he modified, outfitted and opened a studio in a church building and the origin of the studio name. He talked about his Tascam recording desk and about some of his favorite outboard gear.
