Practical methods of binaural audio production based on multiple cases of the actual live streaming event were introduced by two broadcasting companies, Chukyo TV and Nagoya Broadcasting Network.
Both broadcasting companies has been working on 3D audio contents creation for several years. For the meeting, the actual contents were presented to the audience through zoom meeting and YouTube. The audience and participants were encouraged to use their headphones.
As well as the contents itself, the details of the streaming/ audio system were introduced thoroughly, while panelists discussed the pros and cons of monitoring systems at stage rehearsals and studio mixing for example. The difference between the typical 2mix and binaural mix on several types of contents was also discussed.
As the pandemic/ quarantine situation lasting, those live streaming with new technical features is seen as one of the key growing businesses as well. Even though, the panelists also addressed that focusing on contents or music itself remains the core of the entire production, which would be a challenge when it comes to reaching consensus among performers and engineers.
