On October 1, 2009, the University of Hartford AES student section held its second general meeting of the fall semester. Attendees of the New England Institute of Art's 2009 BADASS audio student summit shared their thoughts and learnings, summarizing workshops and presentations. Information on the 127th AES Convention was distributed, including pre-registration instructions and transportation/overnight accommodation suggestions. Students were advised to coordinate in groups, and the committee offered its help to individuals seeking rides to the city. Students were encouraged to attend Uhart IEEE's Solderfest soldering workshop planned for October 13th. Other announcements included:
