As our first trip to an AES Conference in York as well as the AES Convention in Dublin as the AES student section hamburg we were given a lot of exciting input on interactive and immersive audio. The main keywords in York being HRTF, Ambisonics, Binaural Rendering and Headtracking. From engineers to sound designers we were able to talk to audio professionals and get tips and ideas for future projects at HAW Hamburg / Klingt Gut 2020. The Dublin Convention also had a lot of insights on the topic of Immersive Audio. Workshops as well as Tutorials on Recording Techniques or Best Mixing Practices and many other topics completed our trip.
