Professor Ville Pulkki from acoustics lab of Aalto University, Finland, talked about his and his lab's recent research topics. The topics he introduced were:included,
- time-frequency-domain spatial audio:
- laser-induced pressure pulses in acoustic measurements
- Machine-learning-based estimation and rendering of acoustical scattering from finite objects in virtual reality.
More than 30 participants gathered from all over Japan to be at the meeting.
The lecture was very attractive, including both the famous research topic of Prof. Pulkki, as well as excitingly new research topics, with effective sound demos. The participant paid full attention to the lecture, and eagerly joined the discussion with Prof. Pulkki.
