The attendees of the Turkish AES Section meeting on 10 May 2019.
The meeting started with a very short welcome speech by COMD (Bilkent University) department chair, Andreas Treske. He said that the department's door is always open to the AES. After that Dr. Ufuk Önen delivered a presentation about the AES.
The meeting continued with Dr. Can Karadogan's presentation, which was about immersive audio. The presentation was centered around the collaborative work between Dr. Karadogan and Central Europe VP Thomas Görne that took place in Hamburg last year. Dr. Karadogan stated that they presented a paper on their collaborative work at the AES Immersive Conference in York in March 2019. That was a great example in terms of collaboration between the AES members.
In the second part, the re-structuring the Turkish AES Section was discussed. It was agreed to organize a second event in September, this time in Istanbul.
