Other business or activities at the meeting:We picked a date to demo our SU recording competition (Dec 10 5-8pm). During this time, members will practice adjudicating recordings they will submit internally, have time for critique from other members, and enjoy pizza. We began discussing criteria for judging recordings (including putting a focus quality & arrangement, having a technical creativity category, a balance category, and using a 1 - 5 scale for judging). For our event, we use this start to create adjudication forms. We also further discussed the idea of a regional AES summit; I am in talks with our regional AES VP about contacting officers in Ithaca, Rochester, Fredonia, and Toronto and will provide more information as planning goes on. We also discussed being aware of musicians & audio professionals traveling through our area; if you see someone is traveling who could be a potential guest speaker, or any local professionals or businesses, reach out to the officers and we can help invite in speakers or organize trips.
