Other business or activities at the meeting: The meeting welcomed members of the Washington and Baltimore SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers) as well as members of the AES Washington DC Section. Prior to the tour and technical discussions, the group met at an on-site storage garage where the museum performs classes and clinics on the restoration of historic electronics as well as preservation of various electronic media. Prior to the official tours, members had a bite to eat and socialized, and the local chairs of AES and SBE made announcements of upcoming meeting topics and section updates.

This uniquely restored historic building, owned by the City of Bowie, offers a world-class museum for anyone interested in the history and evolution of broadcasting, radios, and televisions. For this meeting, the museum offered a personalized docent-led escort through one of the most comprehensive collections of televisions and radios in the country. Participants received an in-depth technical view and discussion of the various exhibits and gained an understanding of the museum's role in the preservation of historic electronic media.
