Members of AES North German Section, Hamburg Student Section, and VDT North German Regional Group, December 8, 2017
On December 8th, the Hamburg Student Section hosted the first Joint Meeting of AES North German Section and VDT (German Tonmeister Society) North German Regional Group. Main objective of the meeting was discussing options and possibilities of AES/VDT cooperation. After an open and fruitful discussion, the attendants visited the recording and mixing studios and the newly established Immersive Audio Lab at HAW Hamburg's Arts and Media Campus, where AES Fellow Ralph Kessler demonstrated his "Roomenizer" real-time virtual acoustics system in the 33.2 loudspeaker dome. The evening ended with the attendants joining the HAW Sound Lab Christmas Party, with live music by "Funky Trouble", with a feast of homemade cookies, fresh pancakes and red wine punch, and with a get-together of professionals, educators and students.
