~ beBlue AOYAMA, Studio 0 (zero)" was established in October 2014, as a first Dolby Atomos, THX pm3 audio post-production facility in Japan.
In the December meeting for the AES-JAPAN, AES members and guests visited "~ beBlue AOYAMA, Studio 0 (zero)" for a tour and explanation of the Dolby Atmos audio system. We were hosted by Mr. Kazutaka Someya, a sound designer / mixing engineer of the studio. He firstly gave a quick overview of the Dolby Atmos system and the acoustic and electroacoustic aspects of the main studio. Following the explanation, Mr. Someya provided a very interesting presentation on Dolby Atmos. A short tour and explanation of the mixing room, machine room and recording booth, was also provided by Mr. Nakahara (SONA Corp.), Mr. Taniguchi (REALSONIDO Co., Ltd.) and Ms. Tsuchiya (SONA Corp.).
