Meeting Topic: Election Day

Other business or activities at the meeting: This meeting was election day for the Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer. Due to this being our last meeting of the semester, we discussed our summer plans with the student members. In addition, we also asked our members to talk about their ambitions such as what job or field they are looking to get into. Lastly, we gave our members an insight to what we want to accomplish once we return from our summer break.
Meeting Location: Southwestern College
In our previous meeting, we announced to our student members that the Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer were available for official election. Only two members were interested in running for Treasurer, thus the new Treasurer and our provisional Chair and Vice Chair are now officially elected into the cabinet.
This meeting marked the last of our bi-weekly schedule, therefore we will meet once a month over the summer. In addition to our monthly meeting, our plans over the summer will consist of tours, group trips to the LA Chapter meetings, and recreational activities that could help recruit new members.
We also asked our members about their goals with audio. This helps the section know who can collaborate with each other and it helps us as officers to know what our section consists of. Moreover, we discussed with our members what we have planned for the 2015-2016 year. We will add more events to the list as the year develops and we can't wait to see what ideas our members come up with.
