For the third year, the Music Library of Señal Memoria held the Week of Sound. From August the 25th thru the 29th, various activities to talk and reflect on what sound, memory and files offer. On Monday August 25th, the third version of the Colombian Week of Sound opened. This event was attended by international guests such as Martha Francisco (Canada), Felipe Solis (Chile), Natalia Fidelholtz (USA), and Antoine Lehembre (France), who spoke from their experience, the relationship between memory, sound and file archiving.
In addition, nine papers on post-production, evaluated and selected by a scientific committee led by AES Colombia, and two alternate activities, complemented the program for this annual event which was held with the support of UNAD, University of San Buenaventura, the AES (Audio Engineering Society - Section Colombia), Diffusion Magazine and the Archive of Bogotá. Together with the international guests, conferences were offered by Naila Burney and Alejandro Jaramillo, professionals in the field of Sound Engineering, with lectures on sound design for video games and films.
The Audio Engineering Society was involved in the production committee, coordinating all academic areas of the Week of Sound such as the selection of some of the national and international speakers for the event and the evaluation and selection of the papers to be presented.
