Crowd at the meeting, Hicham Atassi, Pierrick Lotton
On December 4, 2008 we held the annual meeting of the Czech and Czech Student Sections at the Musical Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts. Following the long tradition, it was accompanied by a technical program with seven presentations given mostly by Section members. Topics included Influence of the hall acoustics on quality of reproduction, History of magnetic tapes — 2nd part, Distorting DC component and its influence on digital signal processing, Recognition of emotions from speech, Acoustics of concert halls, Sound reinforcement of spaces with long reverberation time and Heat and sound -- from cooling to organ. The last presentation was given by Pierrick Lotton, member of the French section, who is spending his sabbatical at Czech Technical University.
