Brecht de Man explains signal flow and other specifics of his experiment.
Brecht described the current state of automatic mixing - detailing the different software tools, methods and guiding principles for designing an AI which can mix, and current pitfalls/challenges/quirks which his method faces. He also presented the results of a listening test taking place at CIRMMT involving McGill Sound Recording students where listeners ranked and gave feedback on 10 different mixes of 2 tracks, one of which was a "robot" mix (unbeknownst to the listeners).
