This is a picture of the panelists. The event was held during John Villec's Recording Studio Techniques class at Sacramento City College, and was hosted by the American River Regional Student Section.
The American River Regional Student Section hosted a panel covering various topics involving the music industry. Our guests were an eclectic group of individuals from northern California. Our guests included an entertainment lawyer (Diane Mathews), professional songwriter (Claytoven Richardson), a Grammy nominated R&B singer (Krizztyle), a producer (Villiani), studio owner/engineer (Weston Ray), and an artist manager (Nick Muratalla). Some of the main ideas discussed in the panel were the current quality of popular audio formats (especially in regards to radio), artist s's experiences in a professional recording studio sessions, and the overall direction of the music industry. A common theme that was addressed was the concept that the future of the music industry is in a state of change.
