THE PRESENTATION: Scott
Wyatt, director of the University of Illinois Experimental Music
Studios for the past 39 years and professor emeritus of music
composition at the UIUC School of Music, will present a video tour
of the world renown facilities discussing the equipment,
instruments, installations, and history, and will also offer
examples of some the creative works realized within the

ABOUT
THIS MONTH’S SPEAKER: Scott
Wyatt serves as the director of the University of Illinois
Experimental Music Studios. As a mastering audio engineer/producer
he has mastered more than 70 commercial discs. As a professor of
music composition at the University of Illinois, Wyatt was awarded
the prestigious University Scholar Award in 1985, a research
faculty associate position at the National Center for
Supercomputing Applications in 1992, the Outstanding UIUC College
of Fine and Applied Arts faculty Award in 1997, an Associate
position in the Center for Advanced Study in 1998, and awarded the
College of Fine and Applied Arts Creative Research Award in 2008.
