Using MATLAB / Simulink as an Implementation Tool for Multichannel Surround Sound
|
Pieter Schillebeeckx, Iain Paterson-Stephens, and Bruce James WigginsUniversity of Derby, Derby, Derbyshire, UK |
|
Because of the time-consuming and complex nature
of implementing multichannel surround sound
decoders and encoders, a research tool was developed
to aid this process. This paper discusses a highly
flexible and powerful implementation tool, which
allows new ideas in the field of multichannel surround
sound to be implemented with great ease and minimal
development time.
