The binaural room scanning (BRS) auralization system
relies on real-measured binaural room responses.
The main applications is virtual representation of multichannel
control rooms to realise optimum listening
conditions in inadequate real conditions. In the developmental
phase, artefacts due to necessary system simplifications
can be eliminated. Thus the quality of the
system primarily depends on human cues. An optimization
of the BRS system with respect to
the interindividual HRTF differences is reported.
