Andrew Roundy’s Staff Live Audio Engineer role at Dolby is a worldwide position aimed on creating systems and mixing practices for live Atmos mixing and audio productions and educating mixers about these systems. Andrew has built a full mix lab featuring a Calrec Artemis and full 5.1.4 monitoring at Dolby’s headquarters located in San Francisco. Content acquisition, creating POC mixes, demoing content and holding content creation workshops are all included in his list of duties. Simply put Andrew is Dolby’s on staff broadcast mixer. This role has taken him all over the globe working with clients such as Sky Sports, OBS, NBC and many others.
Previous to his work at Dolby, Andrew was an accomplished broadcast mixer with credits from ESPN, NBC, CBS and many others. He has mixed a myriad of sports including NBA basketball, MLB baseball, NCAA football and Olympic sports (gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, and more). Andrew also worked several years at Pac 12 Networks engaging in their revolutionary REMI program spearheading their remote “at home” mixing program. There he not only mixed but was a key mixing trainer for junior mixers coming up in the industry.
