James Weaver

James Weaver (b.1981) is a researcher, musician and photographer from London.
James holds a BA in Media & Communications, and an MA in Image & Communication (now known as Photography: Image and Electronic Arts) from Goldsmiths University of London, and has worked extensively as a performing musician.
Currently he is studying for a PhD as part of the EPSRC+AHRC Media and Arts Technology Centre for Doctoral Training at Queen Mary University of London in the Centre for Digital Music’s Music, Performance and Expressivity Laboratory.
With research interests in how musical performance and expression is impacted by acoustics, and the intelligibility of sound in acoustic spaces, James is supervised by Professor Elaine Chew and Dr Mathieu Barthet.
