Munhum Park earned his BSc in Physics at Seoul National University in 2000. He then moved to the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research in the University of Southampton, UK, completing his PhD in 2007. After a short post-doctoral research at the same institute, he worked as a senior scientist for Philips Research Eindhoven in the Netherlands until 2014. Having had enough of wet and cold days, he relocated to Bangkok, Thailand, and has been a faculty member at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Currently, he is assistant professor in the Institute of Music, Science and Engineering, and his research interest includes binaural hearing/reproduction, spatial audio, effects of noise on health and work performance and the acoustics of Thai musical instruments.
