Previously, he was a post-doctoral Research MCR at Wolfson College Oxford, and Music Technology Officer in the Faculty of Music, University of Oxford, UK. Duncan studied psychoacoustics and digital signal processing at the Institute of Sound Recording (IoSR) in Guildford, Surrey.
