Trained as a trumpet player, Denis Vautrin graduated from the Paris Conservatoire’s Advanced Sound Production Course in 2003. He currently divides his time between teaching, sound recording and audiovisual musical productions.
Head of the Advanced Music Production Program at the Paris Conservatoire since 2013, founder of the recording label Hérisson and co-founder of the production company Hérisson TV, Denis Vautrin has served as artistic director for numerous musical recordings and has collaborated with major recording companies (Deutsche Grammophone, Virgin Classics, Warner Classics, Erato, and Sony Classical) as well as internationally renowned artists (Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks-Mariss Janssons, the Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris – Pierre-Laurent Aimard , The English Baroque Soloists, The Monteverdi Choir, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées – Philippe Herreweghe, the Orchestre de Paris…).
