Renato Profeta is a Ph.D. student in music information retrieval at the Ilmenau University of Technology.
He received a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Kempten University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Riga Technical University. He also studied Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute Liverpool.
His main research area is the application of artificial intelligence in the analysis and synthesis of electric guitar sounds.
