Chungeun Kim studied electrical engineering in Seoul National University in Korea, Sound and Vibration in ISVR, Southampton University, U.K., and psychoacoustic engineering in IoSR, University of Surrey, U.K. He then worked on a few EU projects as a postdoctoral researcher, with research areas covering spatial audio production and coding for multimedia streaming, auditory perception and quality evaluation, and physiology-based computational modelling of auditory processes and quality aspects. After his recent work on perception of HRTF-based binaural audio at Imperial College London, he is now working on the perceptual evaluation of audio source separation at University of Surrey, U.K.
