TT02 - Power Station at Berklee NYC
Originally a Con Edison power relay station, Power Station Studios was designed and built by Tony Bongiovi in the late 1970s and became Avatar Studios in 1996. For forty years the facility has provided a home for countless recording sessions and been a center of the New York City music industry. And it’s now been acquired by Berklee College of Music and re-christened Power Station at BerkleeNYC. While Berklee is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of the world’s foremost audio facilities, significant equipment upgrades and building renovations are planned. Take advantage of a rare opportunity to visit during this fascinating transitional period.
