Simon Calle is an audio researcher and developer for THX Ltd. He has been working with THX in the development of tools and applications to test the performance of 3D audio inside VR games. He was a audio engineer in Explode Studios in Brooklyn for 2 years but now he focuses in researching the subjective appreciation of binaural audio in VR platforms. He worked as a researcher for Dr. Agnieszka Roginska at NYU, where the team focused in developing immersive audio and visual experiences using binaural and ambisonic recording techniques.. He was named the Emil Torick Scholar for 2016 by the Audio Engineering Society.
