William Decanio

Bill Decanio received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester in 1995. From 1995 to 1997 he worked as an electrical engineer for medical diagnostic equipment at Johnson & Johnson Clinical Diagnostics in Rochester, NY. Transitioning a lifelong passion for audio into a profession, Bill went to work as a systems engineer Harman International in 1997. During his 16 years at Harman, Bill’s work touched many successful product lines from Infinity, JBL, Harman Kardon and Revel.
Bill joined Samsung Research America in 2013 where he is now a principal engineer. During his tenure at Samsung, he has contributed to many products including wireless speakers, soundbars and television sound systems. In addition to product development, Bill has written many software based engineering tools for loudspeaker system modeling as well as crossover network design and optimization.
