Olli Rummukainen obtained his D.Sc. (Tech) degree from Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland, in 2016. His thesis focuses on modeling audiovisual perception in reproduced real environments and on quantifying quality of experience in immersive audiovisual displays created by spatial sound and large screen projections. Since 2016, he has been working in the International Audio Laboratories division at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, Erlangen, Germany. His work focuses on developing perceptual quality evaluation methodology for VR, and on psychophysical testing to enable future audio codec design.
